Below is a report on the meetings held in Kinshasa from June 16, 2004 to June21, 2004 submitted by Br. Raphael Mbila of Congo and translated by Rev. Billy Diabasenga.

Teaching Revival in Kinshasa, D. R. Congo June 16 – 22, 2004

Rev. Brian Joseph Kocourek has recently held a series of meetings in Kinshasa, D.R. Congo, on the Doctrine of the Message from June 16, 2004 to June21, 2004. It was really a true revival of coming back to the Word. This was the very first time in the history of the Message in Congo that a minister from North America comes and approaches doctrinal issues in Congo.

Within this short period of time, Pastor Brian spoke for 14 services of over 3 hours each, translated both into French and Lingala. Some 120 ministers mainly from Kinshasa and a few from Lubumbashi, and from other neighboring countries (Cameroon, Congo-Brazzaville, Uganda) attended the ministerial meetings. Pastor Brian had all his services in Pastor Raphael’s church while Pastor Erling Ericksen spoke in three other churches where Pastor Brian was supposed to go as planned in the draft program.

Words can not express with liveliness the impact these meetings had on the bride in Congo. 98 percent of the attending ministers expressed their contentment, stating that they have learned not only the true doctrine of the Message but also a better way of studying the Message and the Bible. Many who formerly believed that the second coming transpired already have come back and have seen the difference between the Appearing and the Coming.

After a clear presentation on the Godhood and the relationship between the Father and the Son, a minister came and said: “From today on, I will no longer worship brother Branham”. Some others wondered why such meeting couldn’t have been held several years earlier when the message came to Congo which could have prevented them from teaching false doctrines. Some requested that such ministerial meetings be held in other African countries where false doctrines have gone ahead.

We thank God for what has been done, for this on going story which started from the internet contact of Brother Billy Diabasenga with Message Doctrine four years ago and the translation work into French, and the recent visit of Brother Billy to America and now Pastor Brian has visited Congo. He felt himself free to teach the Doctrine to Brother Raphael’s Church which also faithfully believes the doctrine.
